Dr. Homayara Haque Aziz was appointed as Commissioner by Governor O’Malley to serve the Women of Maryland. Homayara is the first Bangladeshi-American to have this position.
She is also the only physician serving on the Maryland Women’s Commission. She is a Board Certified Ob/Gyn currently a faculty with University of Maryland School of Medicine. She is passionate about womens education, access to healthcare and equal pay. She is involved in many high profile state projects re: womens health. We are very honored to have her amongst us in the Maryland/DC area.
